Captain's Message

I'm thrilled and honored to welcome you all to the 2016 season for the Red Hawk Women's Golf Club. I'm looking forward (and hope you are too) to a fun and exciting year. We have something special planned every month, including a new event in August, a home/home tournament with Wolf Run. In addition, we will also hold our Golf Goddess Match Play event throughout the season. The one tournament that we haven't found a Chair for is the summer fun tournament. If you are willing to step up and help to make this tournament happen, please let me know. We're also looking for someone to put together the putting contest for the Member Guest Tournament, so if that is something you can help with, please let Beth Cooney or Kimberly Carden know.

I hope you all have a wonderful time this year and play some great golf!!!

Be a Part of Our Team!

The Red Hawk Women’s Golf Club needs YOU! Each month six members are selected, through qualifying, to represent RHWGC in a season long High Sierra Team Play competition. We qualify for one HSTP day at a time so it is only a commitment for one challenge at a time. We complete against 18 other clubs throughout the season and strive to finish in the top 1/3 this year. Why? Because we can, we're capable and we show no fear! How? With your help for starters. Plus our first HSTP competition is here at home, on the Lakes — May 13th. Let's set the stage for a break-out year!

Terrific, beautiful and user friendly courses are on the schedule this year: Red Hawk Lakes, Genoa Lakes, Sierra Sage, Thunder Canyon, Lakeridge and Arrowcreek Legends. It is a great way to meet other area women as you compete with those of similar handicap levels.

For more information, please contact your HSTP captains: Juleen Marcuerquiaga, 775-848-2235 or Linda Celestre, 775-771-5971. Join us for the fun of it. Consult our calendar for qualifying dates.

D'Hawk Tournament

Catherine Crispel and Denise Johnson are co-captains again this year for the D'Hawk Tournament. Unlike the last few years, this will be a 1-day event played on the Hills Course on Tuesday, June 7th. The format will be 2-gal best ball for all 18 holes, followed by scoring, lunch, and prizes. A sign-up sheet will be available at our opening meeting, or you can email Catherine if you are interested in playing. Catherine and Denise will determine playing partners, so you do not need to partner-up in order to participate. The final pricing is not yet available, but will not exceed $35 per person.
