RHWGC.COM

The new Red Hawk Women's Golf Club website has been launched, so be sure to check it out at www.rhwgc.com. Viewable from your computer and mobile devices, you can find many handy resources. Here are just a couple of pages you might want to explore.

  • Tournament Information — has information and sign up forms for upcoming tournaments as they developed.
  • Birdie and Chip-In Trees — a monthly listing can be viewed by clicking the image box on the homepage. A total tally of birdies and chip-ins can by viewed on the Tournament Information page in the Miscellaneous Information column.

My goal is to make the site a handy resource and easy for you to use — even on your cell phone. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to see additional information added.

WE NEED WINE!

One of the featured raffles for the member/guest tournament are "member favorites" wine buckets. As part of the Nineteenth Hole theme we hope to bring in some good money for our club. Please give one or two bottles of wine that are your favorites to Mary Brock any time between now and July 7th so she can put the buckets of wine together.

It's time to start putting your teams together for the Member/Guest tournament, July 19 & 20. The committee has been hard at work making up some new and fun ideas for this two day event. You definitely do not want to miss out! Click on the button below to download the entry forms, or go to the Tournament page on the website. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Eclectic Reminders

Guidelines are on the RHWGC website under Forms and are posted in the ladies’ lounge.

First: write "EC" on your scorecard if you are participating in the Eclectic Tournament and indicate which tees you are playing. You may circle the word Red or Combo on the card.

Secondly: be sure your total for the round is correct. There have been a number of mistakes for the totals. It is important to have the correct total when you enter your round for GHIN.

Thirdly: when a golfer picks up on any hole, her round will not be entered in the Eclectic as stated in the "Eclectic Guidelines" item #2. If a golfer completes either the front nine or the back nine, those scores will be recorded if the golfer is not DQ’d or picks up the ball. The ball must be played into the hole.

NNWGA Events

Don't miss anymore of the action as the NNWGA schedule is now in full swing. Swing clinics and Rules 101 will be over when this newsletter reaches you but there is plenty more to do this season. The benefits of your NNWGA membership are rich and rewarding once you tap into the fun.

Rules 201 — June 9th at 10:00- 2:30, Hidden Valley Golf Club, Cost = $20
Comprehension coverage of most common rules of golf + lunch + on-course demonstrations. The Rules of Golf can help you. Come to understand how!

Partner's Hat Cutler Tournament — June 19 & 20 at 8:00 a.m., Eagle Valley East & West courses, Cost ONLY $135 (2 days golf, awards & lunch on day 2)
This is a better ball tournament. You have a partner and the two of you get the better score on each hole. You are not alone. It's a great introduction into tournament golf and it will be fun. Get away from the challenges of our home courses and see a little bit of Carson City.

Go to the NNWGA website to sign up.
